Meet Aaron Jensen

Aaron focuses his practice in civil litigation, representing injured individuals and their families.  Aaron offers careful listening and compassion for clients in difficult places in life.

Aaron also represents individuals in business and business entities of all sizes.  He has represented individuals and families against Fortune 50 companies and their subsidiaries.  He has also represented Fortune 500 and multi-national and international businesses and firms in claims, mediations, arbitrations and courts from New York to California.

Since opening his own firm, Aaron focuses on meeting needs of individuals, their families and their businesses from northern Utah and the western states, including Logan, Cache Valley, Ogden, Salt Lake City, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and the surrounding area. 

Aaron offers his clients a careful listening ear and a broad range of experience representing a wide variety of clients in litigation, mediation, arbitration and planning and counseling from large, complex multi-million dollar litigation to small personal matters. 

He has handled appeals, contract, medical, personal injury, wrongful death, suicide, brain injury, spine injury, birth defect, premises liability, product liability, legal malpractice, estate and will disputes, complex commercial, insurance and excess insurance coverage, class action, civil rights, product liability, and other litigation cases in a variety of states and federal courts.

Aaron began his practice in Chicago where he gained broad litigation and counseling experience.  He represented injured individuals and their families, survivors of sexual assault and civil rights violations, victims of medical malpractice, premises liability, wrongful death, and accidents. 

He also represented startup companies, large established companies, doctors and large hospitals, community hospitals and nurses, and international insurance companies. 

Aaron worked on cases that set significant legal precedent in Illinois at several top Chicago law firms and was part of a number of Illinois record verdicts. During Law School Aaron received a Leadership and Service Award, was awarded Best Brief in a national court competition in New York, served as Article Editor at his law school's Consumer Law Review and was a member of the Dean’s List, Honors Appellate Advocacy Program and the CIVITAS Child Law Program. 

Aaron is grateful to be back in Cache Valley where he practiced at a leading firm before starting his own practice.  He has served as President of the Cache County Bar Association and operated the Cache County Bar's free legal clinic for two years.  Aaron enjoys working to help find winning solutions to disputes and resolve cases here in Utah and the western states and has continued to represent some clients in Chicago area matters. 

Aaron coaches youth basketball and enjoys golf and outdoor time with family.  He has been involved in coaching Little League baseball, Super League and high school baseball, youth football, basketball and boys and girls recreational and competitive basketball.

Meet Ember Anderson

Ember Anderson is the lead paralegal at AJ Law. Ms. Anderson brings a wealth of varied legal knowledge to every case and client and engages in each case with care and interest.  She provides helpful perspective and experience for our clients.  Ember earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing from Utah State University, and is a trained paralegal. She also has a degree in Office Education. In her spare time she enjoys music and reading a variety of books.

Meet Melanie Jensen

Melanie Jensen is our office manager and paralegal.  Melanie helps in all aspects of managing the office, including financial, trust account, case management, paralegal matters and client relations.  Melanie engages cases and client interactions with care and consideration and provides invaluable insight to our approach for obtaining justice and fair results for our clients.  She brings unique perspective to helping our clients with her background in music, theater, and education.  Melanie performed with the original cast of Chicago's longest-running musical, "Million Dollar Quartet."  She performs occasionally in Utah and teaches voice lessons.  She has taught gifted and talented education in public schools.  Melanie graduated from Utah State University in vocal performance and education.
